City of Evart
The City of Evart operates under a Council/Manager form of government. The City Council consists of five members, including the Mayor and the Mayor Pro-Tem. City Council is responsible for adopting and amending City laws, ordinances, determining City policies, standards, and authorizing the annual City Budget. The Council also directs the City Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the City, and is the chief policy adviser to the Council. City Council Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month at 8:00 PM. There is a work session from 7:30-8:00pm; the public is welcome to attend. PLEASE NOTE: In order to accomodate our interim City Manager's schedule, Council meetings (2021) will be held on Tuesday September 28, Tuesday October 5, Tuesday October 26, Thursday November 4, and Thursday November 18. We hope to return to the regular schedule of the 1st and 3rd Mondays in December of 2021. The Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at City hall; residents are encouraged to attend.
