Recodification of City Ordinances

City Council and Staff have been working on a recodification of City Ordinances. There will be two public hearings to discuss the proposed changes. All residents are welcome and encouraged to review the recodified ordinances and attend the meetings to voice any questions or concerns.

If you have any questions regarding the ordinances, the reason for the recodification, or the meetings, please call City Hall Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm at (231) 734-2181. City Manager, Sarah Dvoracek, is also available to provide any clarification at any time at (231) 580-6516.

Please note: this Code of Ordinances is pending adoption by the City of Evart and this site may not reflect the most current legislation adopted by the Municipality. View the proposed Recodified Ordinances here.

If you would prefer to view a printed copy, please call City Hall at (231) 734-2181 to make an appointment during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm. The current Ordinance book is also available for public viewing.

Any questions, comments, concerns, or ideas may be presented to the City at the Public Hearings. Alternatively, if you prefer you may submit your inquiries or comments in writing to City Hall by mailing them to 5814 100th Ave, Evart, MI 49631. Residents may also drop enveloped communications at one of the City's drop boxes, located at City Hall and Cant Hook Park.

Attend the Public Hearings
The City will host two Public Hearings during the regularly scheduled City Council meetings to give residents the opportunity to voice their concerns, questions, and comments regarding the proposed changes. These meetings will be held via Zoom accessible online and through teleconferencing. Access information will be made available prior to the meeting dates on this page and also on the City Council Meetings page.
