Riverside East and Riverside West Parks were both open during the 2021 season, and we expect to open again in 2022!  

The pavilions are available for reservations.  Please call City Hall at 231-734-2181.
Electricity is available at all pavilions and the bathrooms will be unlocked when a pavilion has been rented.

The Splash Pad is open daily from 11:00am to 8:00pm - no reservation needed!  The Pad opens in late May or early June (depending on weather) and closes for the season on September 30.

The City will not be taking reservations for camping.

  • Riverside West is closed indefinitely for camping.
  • Riverside East is open for primitive camping (tents only, please--no RV's, trailers or campers) and is first come/first served.  $10 per night City residents.  $12 per night for out of town visitors.  Please use the provided envelopes and place your payment in the blue pay tube near the parking lot.
  • The bathrooms and showers will not be open this season for camper use.  A porta-pottie has been provided and potable water is available near the pavilion.

 Please note all park guests will be expected to practice social distancing and follow all posted Covid-19 Guidelines.


Pavilion Information and Rates
Riverside West pavilions are $50 for residents and $75 for non-residents per day. The Riverside East pavilion is $75 for residents and $100 for non-residents per day.  Payments can be made online, dropped off at one of our Dropboxes, or at City Hall.

Beautiful Riverside Park West is located in the southeast corner of the City along the Muskegon River where residents and visitors can enjoy the riverside walking trail, as well as boat and canoe access. This 17-acre park offers many active recreation facilities including a splash pad, beach volleyball, shuffleboard courts, a basketball court, a baseball field, and playground areas. Two pavilion areas are available by reservation.

Just across the river is a new 33-acre addition known as Riverside Park East, a great place to take a scenic stroll or catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. Both parks feature a viewing/fishing platform over the Muskegon River. For more details about Riverside Park, or to make reservations, contact City Hall at 231-734-2181.
