  Chasin' Steel
"Anyone looking for what the combination of country music in overdrive, bluegrassy hot picking, and fun on stage with performers can be like, they need to look no further than Chasin' Steel. Whenever I have seen this band they have captured everyone in the audience who did not know of them and made them a fan, as well as rocked those who came to see them. It is amazing how at festivals, based upon their performance in front of many 'radio hit' bands, that they outsell the headliners with demand for their cds being very high. At some point you can be assured that those leaving their show will say the next day to someone 'you should've seen them... they were great!"

"New Reformation Band"
Five of the seven musicians who formed a New "New Reformation Band" in 1979 were reunited: Dave Tatrow on the trumpet, and the full rhythm section (Rick Bryant on drums; Craig Hodnett on bass and tuba; and the Oppermann Brothers on guitar/banjo and piano)...the lineup that was featured on the band's 3rd album, "Beginnings." The drastic change in personnel back in '79 resulted in a change in every position except piano, and the band went to a new level, being invited to a plethora of national jazz festivals as a result. Leader Dave O. is the only member in the 37+ years that hasn't changed, probably because he "owns" the group.

The General Assembly
The General Assembly was formed in the fall of 1971 by a group of musicians from the Ludington, Michigan area . The players enjoyed the sounds of the big bands and wanted to regularly play the music long associated with such names as Basie, Kenton, Herman, Miller, the Dorseys, and others. Since that time the band has performed throughout Michigan, from the Detroit area to Traverse City, while receiving requests for appearances from as far away as San Francisco. Audiences have responded with "The best in the Midwest," "Great performance," "We should have had a dance floor," and "Our audience insists you come back next year."

We thank you for your loyal patronage and look forward to seeing you again in 2008.
