How do I serve?

How do I run for City Council or City Clerk?
Anyone wishing to serve on City Council or as Clerk must be a duly registered voter in the City of Evart and must have lived in the city for at least six (6) months prior to the election.

Step 1: Pick up a Nominating Petition along with an Affidavit of Identity and Receipt of Filing.
                 Clerk will announce the window for circulating petitions.  
Step 2: Obtain signatures from City of Evart residents that are registered voters. 
                 Candidates must secure no less than 25 and no more than 50 signatures on.   Anyone signing a nominating                     petition must be registered to vote in the  City of Evart.  
Step 3: Return nominating petition to Evart City clerk.
Step 4: If all the qualifications are met the candidate will be included on the upcoming ballot.
