Facade & Building Improvement
In September of 2010, the Evart DDA Board approved the Evart Downtown Facade and Building Improvement Program. This program is designed to encourage economic investment and revitalization to the commercial buildings within the DDA district by promoting physical improvements to the commercial facades visible from the public right-of-way. It is the intent of the program to strengthen the economic vitality of downtown Evart by improving the exterior and interior physical appearances of buildings while at the same time preserving and promoting the historical character and integrity of the buildings within the district.
The program is divided into the following categories: Paint, Signs, Awnings, Windows/Doors, Landscaping, Architectural Design Assistance, Complete Facade Renovations, and Limited Interior Renovations. The DDA will fund 50% of all approved projects up to the grant limit (varies per category).
