Part-time DDA Director Opening
The City of Evart Downtown Development Authority has an opening for a part-time Director who will lead the organization’s business and community development efforts focused on the Evart DDA District. This position is a twenty-five (25) hours a week position with an annual salary of $20,000.00. The weekly hours are an average since more time will be required during the summer months. The Director will work under the general direction of the DDA Board, and will be responsible for the initiation and promotion of programs to improve, preserve, and enhance the DDA District as well as promoting the overall appearance and economic vitality of the District. The DDA Director is expected to have education and experience in one or more of the following areas: business development, economic development, strategic planning, marketing, real estate development, and community organization. Candidates should possess good oral and written communication skills. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- developing and monitoring the DDA budget
- coordinating, marketing, and operating the summer arts series
- coordinating, promoting, and operating the Shop Local campaign
- supervising youth workers during the summer months
- attendance at various meetings of the DDA and other city of Evart entities
- preparation of grant applications and proper administration of received grant funds
- handle day to day operations of the Downtown Development Authority
